Job Description

The Job:
• To provide support to the Senior Operations Manager by gaining a solid understanding of the areas for which the team is responsible and using this knowledge to undertake allocated tasks within the team, including key reporting, performance analysis and supporting other retail planners.

The Daily:
• Understand the principles and gain working knowledge of how the WHE supply chain operates with a view to providing detailed analysis to line manager on a variety of projects
• Develop an understanding of the order management process and the capability to manage customer issues, coordinate with relevant teams and resolve
• Maintain and distribute weekly distribution and inventory reports providing relevant insight and analysis for the department and the wider business
• Analyse the distribution processes (within our control) with a view to suggesting changes that optimise WHE cost and enhancing product profitability.
• Responsible for demand planning a range of key new release titles throughout the year
• Develop a working knowledge of the key business support tools used across the business – SAP and Business Objects

The Essentials:
• You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2023.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
• Analytical (esp. for identifying trends, etc) and good attention to detail
• Well organised & disciplined, with the ability to prioritise workloads & use time effectively
• Self-motivated & work with limited supervision
• Good communication skills

The Nice-to-Haves:
• Business undergraduate preferred, preferably studying supply chain / logistics
• Some previous work experience and an interest in retail / home entertainment
