Job Description
We have multiple Warner Bros. Animation Production, Post-Production & Development internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for multiple internship opportunities within this general area. These internships will be located in the LA area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Attend meetings with Production and WBA/CNS execs and take and distribute notes
• Provide script and pitch coverage
• Conduct creative research projects
• Update lists and grids
• Organize and track creative assets and create processes for organization
• Update the team on latest animation news, up-and-coming talent/concepts, etc.
• Assist with department communications, creative research, and disseminating information to the appropriate parties as directed
• Support Sr. APM/APM with daily production tasks such as note taking, design reviews, and handouts
• Assist creative leads with gathering and/or distributing reference
• Provide general support to the production team in a timely manner
• Work closely with the production team to prioritize artist needs
• Regularly communicate progress individually and across multiple teams
• Learn the prep-production pipeline and assist the production team throughout the process
• Hone your asset management, tracking, and archiving skillset with Autodesk Shotgrid/Flow
• Aid in meeting scheduling, preparation, note taking, and note distribution
• Help prepare design handouts for artists
• Support production shipments to vendors
• Organize production materials and elements related to both the Recording Studio and the I/O team
• Create and organize supporting materials for the final delivery process
• Reclaim stock for production use, perform quality control, and categorize inventory
• Partner with I/O management to test equipment, catalog usable assets, and assist with clearing out e‑waste
• Partner with the WBA Archivist to categorize, keyword, sort, and catalog both physical and digital archival materials
• Observe the full animation production process, including:
• Attending dialogue recording sessions
• Observing how audio is edited and sent overseas
• Assisting with preparing and shipping elements to animation studios
• Attending picture edit sessions
• Observing the mix process and learning how audio elements come together
• Understanding preparation for onlines and final distribution
• Attending final color grading, online, and DI sessions

Qualifications & Experience
• Passion for and familiarity with animation and interest in pursuing Animation Production Management or Animation Development long-term
• Knowledge of Mac and proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures
• Ability to organize and schedule work effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to understand written and oral instructions
• Ability to work well under time constraints
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required )
• Must be a rising Junior or rising Senior undergrad student (18 years or older)
• Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
The Nice to Haves
• Previous experience with Shotgrid (aka Flow), Photoshop, Storyboard Pro, Adobe Acrobat a plus
• Involved in Animation clubs/organizations on campus a plus
What To Know Before Applying:
• The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks .
• Program date options:
• Option 1: June 1 st – August 1 4 th
• Option 2: June 8 th – August 2 1 st
• Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required ; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
• Interviewing will take place from mid February through early- April . A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
• On December 5, Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Netflix will acquire Warner Bros., including its film and television studios, HBO Max and HBO. The transaction is expected to close after the separation of Warner Bros. Discovery's Global Networks division, Discovery Global, into a new publicly-traded company, which is expected to be completed in Q3 2026. • Although you will be hired by Warner Bros. Discovery, upon the planned spin-off of Discovery Global in 2026, your employment likely will transition to Warner Bros.
