Business Development & Strategy identifies growth opportunities and reaches out to new businesses, with the goal of driving new and incremental revenue across ViacomCBS networks. These teams handle all prospecting, strategic ideation and planning, as well as execution of all marketing programs for new clients.
Consumer Products extends programming trademarks to create licensing and products including book publishing, home video and audio tapes, apparel, and children's toys. These teams ensure that our products have a retail presence in the marketplace and that ViacomCBS is considered a first-class partner to licensees, retailers, and partners both domestically and internationally.
Distribution is responsible for negotiating distribution deals with new and existing cable operators and digital and wireless distributors to bring ViacomCBS television programming to your TV, computer and mobile devices. USND employees are brand representatives to ViacomCBS's portfolio of more than 20 industry leading television networks including Nickelodeon, CBS and Showtime. As a USND intern, you will help maintain distributor relationships, maximize revenue and identify marketing opportunities with our partners to ensure fans can discover and engage with ViacomCBS content.
Marketing communicates the value of each network to viewers and the cable communities. Interns will play an integral role in building and engaging customers, strategies, and campaigns. There are various areas within Marketing that contribute to the overall impact of the networks' message. These areas include Consumer, Digital/Social Media and Integrated.
• Consumer Marketing is responsible for all strategic planning and execution of on and off-channel campaigns. These teams are responsible for defining network objectives, targeting audiences, researching insights, and developing strategies. They facilitate the ideation and implementation of consumer facing events associated with each show, and work across departments to ensure a 360 marketing plan is working cohesively toward launch.
• Digital/Social Media Marketing develops and executes strategy for all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), and for network series and specials. Their main goals are to drive on-air tune in, boost show awareness, and cultivate consumer engagement.
• Integrated Marketing works with advertising partners to build co-branded marketing programs tied to their respective channels, events, and shows. Their work includes development of custom creative linear television, digital platforms, and cross-network campaigns to ensure ViacomCBS reaches fans everywhere.
Sales is a leading innovative organization that delivers the advertising revenue across all ViacomCBS cable TV networks using state of the art research, data, partner marketing, and sales strategy approaches. They work across all media platforms – TV, digital, social, experiential/live events, emerging platforms; and all audiences. Overall this department helps drive brand value, manages channel priorities, meets distribution opportunities, increases revenue and considers cross channel goals.
