2023 Summer Internship Opportunities: June 5th, 2023 -August 11th, 2023

Public Policy & Government Relations Intern: Washington D.C (onsite)

The UMG Public Policy and Government Relations (PPGR) department is currently seeking a paid PPGR Intern for its Washington, DC office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced team focused on proactively driving robust policy and providing best-in-class service to our internal and external stakeholders. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who is invested in the legislative process and interested in pursuing a career within a creatively driven industry.

How you'll CREATE:
• Conduct research on legislation, press reports and other matters, as needed. Ability to probe online sources to find information and compile them into a comprehensible format
• Attend congressional staff hearings and industry meetings, as applicable, with Senior VP, Public Policy and Government Relations
• Assist Manager, Public Policy and Government Relations with the day-to-day operations; drafting legislative reports; coordinating special events and scheduling
• Research and prepare materials for congressional and UMG executive meetings
• Maintain distribution lists of internal and external contacts
• Ad hoc projects

• Previous Capitol Hill experience or pursing a degree in political science/government is preferred

• Professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company
