San Diego Station (NBC 7 and Telemundo 20) News Internship - Fall 2025

Job Description
NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid. Course credit is optional.

Responsibilities:
As a News Intern for our station, you will work 15 hours per week and gain the following experience:
Writing/Story Producing:
• Assist with script writing and translating for broadcast
• Create graphics for broadcast
• Log sound bites
Editing:
• Edit videos for linear and digital
Digital:
• Contribute to NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 digital content and social media accounts.
• Write and translate scripts for digital
Qualifications
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Must be bilingual English/Spanish both written and verbal with excellent grammar

Eligibility Requirements:
• In pursuit of an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of junior or above
Required On-Site: This position is 15 hours per week and required to be performed from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
The pay rate for this position is $17.25 per hour.
