Job Description
We are looking for an intern to assist our IT Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) with new and continuing IT projects. In this role, you will work alongside project managers and collaborate with various stakeholders, including: The CIO, IT Directors, customers, vendors, and project teams. This role's daily activities will provide opportunities to learn the operational components of running an Enterprise Project Management Office.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting IT-sponsored projects, including systems development, testing, evaluation functions, life cycle logistics, resource management, and risk management.
• Support project managers to develop and monitor realistic project management artifacts, assisting in the development of Stakeholder Analysis, Work Breakdown Structure and Schedule.
• Assist in the development and management of project plans; implementing project plans to meet objectives; coordinating and integrating project activities.
• Defining measures and monitoring performance of project management activities.
• Contributing to accurate ePMO metrics and reports
• Completing an individual and group internship project as assigned

Qualifications:

Individuals must have IT-related course experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies listed below:
• Initiative - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail, taking a proactive approach to project management.
• Concern for Effectiveness - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provides information or assistance, resolves problems, or satisfies expectations by removing obstacles and driving outcomes.
• Communication - Expresses information (i.e., examples, facts, ideas) to individuals or groups effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information (i.e., technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
• Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Preferred candidates will:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field.
• Have a basic understanding of both Waterfall and Agile/Lean methodologies.
• Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.
• Possess familiarity with industry-related systems and technologies.
• Demonstrate conflict resolution skills.
• Display instinctive qualities of accountability and follow-through.
• Show strong communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
