Job Description
The Simon & Schuster Summer 2024 Internship Program will offer students an unmatched, behind-the-scenes look and learning experience within the world of book publishing. Interns will be placed within a variety of areas including editorial, marketing, publicity, and production and in those departments, they will be able to explore all aspects of the industry. While guided by a mentor they will experience ''a day in the life'' of an entry level assistant. Interns will be included in all department and company meetings and will be able to contribute to ongoing projects. No prior experience in publishing is required but a love of books and storytelling is a must.
This is a paid program and will run full time for 8 weeks (40 hours per week) beginning in June.
To be eligible for the program students MUST be able to commit to the full 8 weeks in person within our Rockefeller Center office in NYC and MUST be a full time student in either an undergraduate or graduate program.

The annual salary for this position is $15.00 - $15.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
