WHO WE ARE:
Penguin Random House is seeking a creative, detail-oriented marketing intern to join the Crown and Currency imprints. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Crown's bestselling, critically acclaimed nonfiction list which includes titles in the current affairs, social justice, politics, history, business, and memoir categories. Notable Crown authors include President Barack Obama, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Rachel Maddow, Erik Larson, Eddie S. Glaude Jr., Matthew McConaughey, Gillian Flynn, Krysten Ritter, Timothy Snyder, and Matthew Desmond.
The marketing department develops and implements creative marketing campaigns including advertising, social media, and bookstore displays. Marketers work closely with sales to learn what's happening in the market and, to help them promote and share their enthusiasm about books and writers.
Some responsibilities may include:
• Drafting press materials
• Researching social media handles for outreach
• Organizational outreach for book support and promotions
• Assisting with awards submissions and book mailings
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS
Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity. Interns are exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series!
Spring interns work for 21 hours per week and are paid $20/hour.
What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY
• Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2024 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program).
• Able to work 21 hours/week throughout the program
• Available and commit to the program working January 8, 2024 – March 15th, 2024
• Must reside in the US for the duration of the internship program
• Must be over the age of 18
