Human Resources Internship (Hybrid)

Department: Human Resources

Status: Internship/Full-Time/Hybrid

Supervisor Title: Senior Director, Learning and Talent Management

Time Commitment: 35-40 hours/week, June 2023 – August 2023

Compensation: $15/hour for undergraduate students, $17/hour for graduate students

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Intern will work on HR related projects including coordinating professional development events and activities for PBS employees and managers.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Performs a variety of duties specific to the HR department, including, but not limited to project support, administrative tasks, market research, and other relevant duties

• Host focus groups to gather feedback on training needs for PBS staff and leaders

• Assist with the creation and distribution of HR analytics

• Assist the benefits department with compiling and maintaining records

Requirements for success:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in related field

• Technically savvy and proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills including the ability to juggle multiple projects

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Knowledge of PBS and PBS programming

Skills the Intern may gain:
• Strategic and operational planning

• Project and event management skills

• Interaction and networking with other PBS departments

• Human Resources and Talent Management experience
