Paramount TV Studios Production Finance Summer 2023 Internship (Hybrid-LA)

As the Paramount TV Studios production finance office, we oversee and supervise all financial aspects related to the production of the television series. This includes budgeting, incentive rebates, cost tracking, contract and union payments, and accounting software.

Approximately 30% of the intern's work will involve: creating a production budget based on a previously produced Paramount TV Studios Pilot. The Intern will have the opportunity to meet with various members of the finance team to ask questions and get feedback on their budget. Approximately 20% of the intern's work will involve: assisting with the reorg of the production finance team's digital files. Will assist with reviewing documents to determine if they are relevant. Assist with creating a standardized filing template. Approximately 25% of the intern's work will involve: shadowing the production finance team. Assist the Finance Coordinators with accountant onboarding tasks. Assist the Finance Managers within the corporate accounting software: researching costs and pulling back up. Assist the Finance Executive with projects as they come up. Approximately 25% of the intern's work will involve: shadowing the Prep/Wrap Accounting team. The Intern will also learn what goes into the start and wrap of a production by assisting the Prep/Wrap Accounting team with various day-to-day tasks.

The team's summer format will be hybrid out of our 5555 Melrose Ave office in Los Angeles, CA. They are not looking for a fully remote intern. We do not cover the cost of housing or transportation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Preferred background in Finance, Business, or Film/TV Production.
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong Movie Magic Budgeting/PSL/SmartAccounting knowledge is a plus.

Internship Eligibility:
• Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2023. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
