JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for enthusiastic accounting interns to support our Record-to-Report teams in our Budapest office. Your application would be considered for all these teams of general ledger, intercompany, statutory, programming and cash operations accounting, where we are currently looking for a newcomer.

Tasks might vary depending on the team but would definitely cover some of the following:
• Help us account for the films and series we purchase from studios to air on our channels from their initial recognition until their retirement
• Book entries into the accounting system, register and reconcile Purchase Orders and Internal Orders, maintain PO-s of different vendors, contribute to a healthy vendor relationship
• Achieve mastery in working with SAP spreadsheets and reporting tools: generate and prepare standard reports and back up; prepare and post statutory adjustments, etc
• Support Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Support and assist the team with the external audit requests, work directly with other RTR teams and external auditors therefore you can get to know a lot of new people intside and outside Viacom
• Perform internal review of audit deliverables
• Help out colleagues in invoice or PO related questions

General Ledger Accounting team
• Prepare monthly journal entries including cost and revenue accruals, prepayments
• Prepare monthly BS account reconciliations
• Collaborate with Finance and Operational teams around the world
• Provide accounting support to the Treasury, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash departments
• Participate in process efficiency improvement and automation projects

Intercompany Accounting team
• Calculate, invoice and monitor settlements of the monthly charges
• Update Invoice repository (invoice upload into web-based system)
• Support in Intercompany related projects and activities
• Provide input about simplification, standardization and automation of existing reports and processes
• Assist with month-end financial reports and post journal entries

Programming Accounting team
• Process requests for creating project and asset master data, set budget on the projects
• Maintain programming payment schedules based on contract review
• Raise purchase orders and perform goods receipting for contractual obligations arising from license agreements
• Generate and analyze open purchase order reports, close fully invoiced PO lines and POs
• Prepare and park journal entries
• Query reports from SAP and LVDETINT and assist other team members in preparing reports, reconciliations based on these related to Programming, Fixed Assets and Lease

Fixed Assets Accounting team
• Creating fixed asset projects, assets and purchase orders, recording monthly amortization
• Actively manage the ViacomCBS lease contracts in our lease portfolio system and in our SAP ledger
• Recording journal entries related to prepayments and other reclasses
• Preparing reconciliation, roll forward reports and other reports related to programming assets and liabilities

Statutory Accounting team
• Prepare and post statutory adjustments in SAP
• Support and assist the team with the external audit requests (collection of invoices, bank statements)
• Perform tracking the status of the audit requests
• Support and assist the team with the administration of reconciliation system (Trintech)
• Assist with ad-hoc Viacom and internal management requests
• Process USGaap-Statutory reconciliation
• Support the team with the administration tasks of the statutory reporting tool

Cash Operations team
• Perform daily bank reconciliation for all legacy Viacom bank accounts to the general, monitor the aging of all outstanding items and assist with reclassification
• Assistance in preparation of monthly bank account reconciliation for legacy Viacom, - Paramount and - CBS,
• Collaborate with Finance and Operational teams around the world
• Manage actual Cash Flow reporting with the supervision of line manager
• Ensure all topsides are performed according to the appropriate LongView dimension of original documents
• Participate in process efficiency improvement and automation projects

QUALIFICATION

Main Requirements:
• Active, full-time training student status in a Hungarian university/ college is a must as well as the ability & eligibility to work at least 30 hours/week - Ongoing Economics/ Finance/ Accounting BSC/ MSC studies (preferably at least 2 semester of Accounting course)
• Confident business English language skills both oral and written, Hungarian language knowledge is an advantage
• Confidence in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Problem solving and issue resolution mindset
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Demonstrate ownership for own tasks
• Good communication skills with willingness to present in workgroup
