Intern - Graphic Artist

Job Description

The Graphic Artist Intern assists station graphic artists in conceptualizing and creating all online graphics for news, sales, and creative services departments.
• • Design/creation of graphics for daily newscasts, specials, commercial and promotional spots
• Creating and producing animated graphic opens and elements for newscasts and promotions
• Working cross-functionally with internal departments to fulfill station's graphic needs as needed
• Contributing to special projects such as digital ads, print work, signage, animation and set design as assigned
• Performing other duties as assigned
• • Must be a full-time student seeking class credit toward degree in Graphic Design or similar
• Strong design, illustration and typographic skills required.
• Experience with Windows, Mac OS, Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop computer art programs
• Knowledge of 3D animation software a plus
• Ability to work in a rapid, fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work hours required for full class credit.
• Business acumen
• Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and to deliver finished projects on deadline
• Highly effective communications and organizational skills
