Responsibilities

At Universal Creative, we design, develop, and deliver the most compelling entertainment experiences imaginable. Universal Creative Studio is where the top minds in the industry begin imagining the world's most exciting, award-winning attractions and resorts. This internship is based in Hollywood on our Universal Creative Hollywood Team and will support a working Creative team on a developing project. This internship requires someone to come onsite each day and work with the project team and will provide unique work experience for a student seeking a career in a creative field. You will be assigned a specific project to work on present at the end of your internship.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:
• Will work closely with an Art Director and Producer to build an illustrative guide for ADA design and retail standards.
• Work with design team on miscellaneous projects to learn the creative process of building a new attraction.
• Attend meetings with park partners, vendors, and other disciplines.
• Will work with the Creative and Tech teams to identify Creative deliverable handover processes and gaps.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, Theme Park/experiential Design, or Film preferred.
• Rising Junior or Senior year student preferred but not required.
• Submission of work samples/portfolio also preferred.

Desired Characteristics
• Highly creative with a keen eye for graphic design.
• Completed courses and some working knowledge in typography and computer design software.
• Knowledge of sign fabrication techniques and materials, or drafting, rendering and presentation skills would be a plus.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of Team Members in a professional and highly collaborative manner.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
