Responsibilities
Here at NBCU, we strive to be on the forefront of leading-edge technology and are seeking a savvy troop of technologists we call Media Tech Interns. Our program exposes students to technical opportunities across NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology organizations and serves as a main pipeline into our Rotational Associate Programs. As a NBCUniversal Media Tech Intern, you will be placed on an assignment (matched according to your skillset and interest), which will provide you with hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical situations. 

Students will experience firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world operates and delivers strategic, innovative solutions. Internship opportunities may include, but are not limited to software development and engineering, automation, information technology, cloud computing, infrastructure engineering, data and analytics, data engineering, project/product management, network engineering, cyber security, and more! 

Potential Opportunities span across:

Rockefeller Center Operations [New York, New York] oversees the business services within Studio Operations, NBC TV Network Operations, Studio Tour and Retail.

Distribution Engineering [Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and Dry Creek, Colorado]: the on-air video support team is the first team to handle any video issues with the origination of NBC/Telemundo network. The team has a mix of senior video engineers, video engineers, and associate video engineers. They are dedicated to 24/7 support of keeping network on the air with 99.999% reliability. They work on cutting edge video, automation equipment, video analyzers and cloud across multiple workflows.

Production Engineering [Miami, Florida] supports the technical infrastructure that drives studio and control room-based productions across NBCUniversal including News, Sports, Entertainment, Digital, and Field Operations. This infrastructure includes physical installation of turnkey hardware, network infrastructure & configuration, and public/private cloud systems.

Qualifications/Requirements
In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress

Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal

Must be able to work on-site; possible opportunities include: Miami, FL, New York, NY, Englewood Cliffs, NJ and Dry Creek, CO
