Distribution Intern (June 2025 - Jan 2026)

Responsibilities

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Distribution Intern plays a pivotal role in supporting the distribution deals workflow, ensuring seamless operations and robust customer support. You will assist in maintaining and enhancing CNBC's clip licensing revenue stream, collaborating closely with the Business-to-Business (B2B) & Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Manager, EMEA, and the broader CNBC International Commercial team to drive CNBC's APAC B2B & DTC business.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Provide input on customer briefs, presentations, and sales literature
• Support CNBC's B2B & DTC revenue in identifying and executing opportunities to grow CNBC's distribution to key B2B clients, primarily financial institutions, hotels and telcos
• Research prospective partners and industry news impacting partners
• Updating presentation decks with case studies and updates
• Provide administrative support to both EMEA & APAC teams, such as maintaining sales records, recording subscriber reports, reporting music royalties, etc
• Evaluate digital opportunities to add to NBCUniversal's capabilities
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the Commercial team and provide ad hoc support on joint Business Development & Distribution projects

Qualifications
• University undergraduates majoring in business administration, entrepreneurship or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to engage and interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders at varying levels
• Strong organizational skills and possesses an ability to multitask
• Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks while operating under tight deadlines
• Keen interests in media and entertainment industry
• Pro-active learner who takes initiative
• Fluency in English language is essential
• Mature individual who is able to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner

Please note that this is a full-time 6-month internship opportunity from June 2025 – January 2026 for undergraduate students.
