Fall 2023 Internship Program:

• Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

The Entertainment Group develops and schedules the network's primetime, late-night, and daytime entertainment programming, including USA, SYFY, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, and Universal Kids. NBC's quality programs and balanced line-up have earned the network critical acclaim, numerous awards and ratings success, including most recently winning the traditional September-to-May season in primetime's key demo, marking the network's third win in four years. NBC has earned more Emmy Awards than any network in television history.
The below opportunities listed will be offered for the Fall semester only. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
• Television & Streaming DEI: NBCUniversal's TV DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) team, also known as NBCU LAUNCH, is one of the longest standing diversity, equity and inclusion departments in the entertainment industry. This team is committed to discovering and developing the next generation of content creators from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds through our groundbreaking talent development programs that focus on helping to launch careers and forging pathways to continued success within NBCUniversal. The TV DEI team comprehensively supports and tracks creators' career momentum as they move through the business and reach new creative heights. This team is a resource for all DEI efforts across the Universal Studio Group and Entertainment Content including teams such as production, marketing, casting, legal and more. The intern in this role will get an all-encompassing view of the business with an opportunity to connect with teams in each of the areas above. Interns will get experience on content coverage and research assignments, social media and internal communications, and team and program administrative support.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
Desired Characteristics:
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion in storytelling and workforce
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Social media savvy and awareness of latest global trends
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.00.
