Job Description

WCMH-TV (NBC4) is currently accepting Marketing and Creative Services internship applications for the 2023 Summer and Fall semester. Internships are unpaid and must be applicants receiving college credit.

NBC4 MARKETING internships are designed for students seeking hands-on experience in a local television station for careers in marketing & communications, advertising agencies, production & design, and those interested in advertising broadcast journalism neighborhood by neighborhood. Interns will potentially work with marketing producers and management, graphic artists and NBC4 street team members. Potential internship opportunities include shadowing in the field during marketing shoots, editing sessions and station community events. Additional opportunities would be assisting with area non-profit organizations on communication-messaging, public service announcements in the form press releases, and producing, shooting, editing or on-air messaging. Internship Details:
• Internship schedules will be based on requirements from college or university
• Interns will be well-supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience
• Upon completion of the internship, students will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor

Requirements & Skill:
• Juniors and seniors studying communications, advertising, broadcast journalism, video production, or other related degrees
• Internships must be for school credit
• Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects
• A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn
• Previous internship experience a plus
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Flexible in performing a variety of assignments and tasks.
