THE POSITION – SETTLEMENT FINANCE INTERN

Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 25 hours per week. Must be Nashville based and work in the LN Nashville office.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assisting the settlement finance team with developing more efficient and accurate methods with our workflow.
• Attend local concert settlements with our tour reps and local settlers.
• Execute regular reporting on datasets.
• Track demonstrable efficiencies in settlement execution.
• Final internship project will be to identify an area in need of improvement within our scope of work, propose a solution, and develop the methodology and structure of the solution.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Learn the defined structure and techniques of settlement.
• Learn the ''art'' of settlement.
• Learn the financial components of a concert.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; with a focus on finance, accounting or music business
• Intermediate to advance Excel skill set
• Data manipulation
• VBA
• Error identification and correction
• Junior or Senior standing
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Independent thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
