Job Description
THE POSITION – MARKETING INTERNAre you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 25 hours per week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Assisting the marketing department with day-to-day administrative duties and day-of-show event coverage as necessary.
• Supporting ongoing marketing campaigns and team projects.
• Research and develop a living database that outlines promotional partners and PR lists in Indianapolis and surrounding areas for various genres of music.
• Analyzing target audiences and providing recommendations to enhance marketing efforts across Indiana venues.
• Assist in expanding our best practices on existing digital platforms.
• Assist in facilitating marketing promotions with approved partners as assigned.
• Contributing to the development of internal resources for streamlined communication and marketing strategies.
• Assisting the marketing department with day-to-day administrative duties.
• Final internship project will be assigned at the beginning of the program to be presented at the end which will incorporate some of the above internship responsibilities.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Learn the process of marketing concerts
• Learn how to properly research fan demographics
• Learn how to build and maintain relationships with outside organizations
• Learn the overall process of concert promotion media buying through digital platforms and traditional media outlets
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for
• Junior or Senior standing
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• A strong sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
This program is during Spring 2025. This role is in office.
