C3 Presents creates music festival experiences for millions of fans across the globe, setting the new standard each year for events that are as memorable as they are spectacular, including Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas, Lollapalooza in Chicago (and seven other countries), and Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee.
THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects of live event business. This is a part-time position, working 15-20 hours per week.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Calendar management including scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and obligations
• Takes minutes or notes, creates agendas, or assists with meeting preparation
• Contract vendors and submit all necessary paperwork as needed
• Research and assist in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives
• Assist with department staffing (including organization and maintenance of offers, timecards, and reimbursements)
• Assist in miscellaneous tasks both in office and on-site as requested
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The objective of this internship is to gain knowledge and perspective within the Site Operations department. You will learn the essential roles and responsibilities needed to start the groundwork for any successful C3 festival or live event. You can expect to apply your learning and experience to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for
• Junior or Senior standing
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• Ability to be punctual and meet deadlines
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
