Job Description
Summary of PositionLionsgate is seeking an Inclusive Content intern for Summer 2026. This intern will work within the Motion Picture Group (MPG) and be a key contributor in designing strategies and practices that support and grow the pipeline of underrepresented storytellers we partner with. This intern will also contribute to holistically evaluating current projects in the MPG for inclusion opportunities and potential for audience expansion. Experience in film/television development, entertainment marketing, business, consumer research, data analytics, or critical gender/race studies is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
• Research competitive TV & film landscape to highlight emerging and established talent from undervalued communities who have the potential to best align with current studio needs
• Analyze current audience trends and leverage intersectional research approach to identify recent films that have performed or overindexed with various audience segments
• Track talent from industry festivals, accelerators, and pipeline programs (i.e. Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Rideback Rise, The Black List, etc) to assess the trajectories of female and BIPOC creatives who have completed these programs and identify alumni with mid-level experience who can be potential candidates for deals, OWAs, and ODAs
• Gain a deeper understanding of film financials and analyze various distribution strategies in order to advocate for projects led by BIPOC creatives
• Participate in weekly strategy meetings with Inclusive Content team to discuss project workflows, industry trends, and new creative opportunities/partnerships
• Ad hoc projects, research, and script coverage as needed
Skills
• Strong organization skills and able to manage workload independently
• Excellent oral & written communication, as well as engaging presentation skills
• Enthusiastic learner who has the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with collaborative workflow platforms (Monday, Salesforce, Airtable, Asana, MS Office 360, Google Drive, etc.) is very helpful

Final Project
Craft and deliver a final presentation for senior leadership and creative teams that synthesizes your findings, data, and research into concrete recommendations for cultivating and elevating BIPOC talent and stories on our content slate and/or influencing narrative change.

Details
• Interns must not work more than 40 hours per week
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
• Graduate students are eligible to apply
• Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
• All internships are paid
• Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office
