SUMMARY
Note: Opportunity based in Santa Monica or Seattle office.

Hulu's Tech team is seeking a Product Design Intern who will be an exceptional addition to our team. As a Product Design Intern at Hulu, you will be working with the team that is redefining TV through our best-in-class video streaming experience, which millions of customers use to access premium video content.

The Product Design team is a tight-knit group of designers who envision how people experience Hulu. We tackle complex tasks and translate them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use experiences for millions of people who love TV. Above all, we create meaningful relationships that bring our viewers closer to their favorite content.

This role involves a wide range of responsibilities. Product Design Interns support our team at various stages of the process, from research, to design, to final production. Interns will have the opportunity to design for a multitude of platforms: web, mobile (iOS and Android), and even living room devices like Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, and PlayStation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Join our feature teams and actively participate in meetings, critiques, and events
• Produce low-fidelity sketches and prototypes with input from Research and Product Design team members
• Transform design concepts to high-fidelity mockups for team reviews and cross-functional presentations
• Build out product documentation along side Product Managers, Engineers, and other Product Designers
• Develop future product ideas with other interns through a collaborative design process
• Learn and apply critical storytelling and presentation skills

WHAT TO BRING
• Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Design, HCI, or related field (graduating no earlier than Winter 2020)
• Online or PDF portfolio with résumé and application
• Proficiency in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and other applicable design software
• Classroom or on-the-job experience with different design methods and techniques
• A people-focused design philosophy with a willingness to hone your design instincts through qualitative and quantitative feedback
• High standards and a solid work ethic
• A great attitude!

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Interactive or high fidelity prototyping skills (Principle, Origami, Framer.js, HTML/CSS, etc) or motion design experience
