The Internship Program
The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising Juniors & Seniors. From June 3 – August 16, 2024, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world.
In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst's diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst's resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.
Town & Country is looking for an editorial intern to join our digital team this summer. This person should have an interest in the topics T&C covers including the British royal family, entertainment (largely movies and TV), travel, American politics and society.
What You'll Do
• Pitch and write stories for Townandcountrymag.com
• Assist editors with photo research and reporting for their stories
• Update existing articles on the site as needed
• Assist with social media as necessary
Who You Are
• Relevant writing experience at previous internship or for a school publication
• Excellent writing skills, feel comfortable working under tight deadlines, and producing content at a quick pace as the news cycle requires.
• You are a self-starter with enthusiasm for the topics Town & Country covers including culture, society, entertainment, and the royal family.
• You have strong time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills, and have a positive and professional attitude.
The estimated base salary for this role is $20/hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
