The Job:
This HBO Programming internship will provide an inside look into the team that develops and oversees HBO's roster of stand-up specials and late-night series. This role will offer a unique opportunity to learn the development process from pitch to pilot (and beyond), as well as how each department within HBO works together to ensure a show meets HBO's industry-leading standard of quality.

Responsibilities

The Daily Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: Research and remote 'scouting' of comedians and talent across the industry; taking comprehensive notes during meetings; updating reference documents, ratings grids, and Slack channels with key show and production information; Writing script coverage and summaries (both objective and opinion-based); support department executives and assistants with various tasks as needed.

The Essentials:
Strong writing, communication and analytical skills, specifically when asked to give creative opinions and constructive feedback; Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment; Equally comfortable working independently on long-term, ongoing projects; Exhibits a positive, helpful attitude and professionalism at all times
• Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
• Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (18 years or older)
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

About the Internship Program:
• Our Spring 2023 program is a 12 Week Internship that will run from Monday, February 6th through Friday, April 28th, 2023
• Part time-schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive salary. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.

Interviewing will take place from September through early December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD.

Qualifications
