Fall Remote Internship - Information Security

Job Description

Summary:The Information Security intern will learn or improve Security concepts and technologies within Application Security and Cloud Security. The Information Security intern will also have the opportunity to work with senior engineers to solve real-world Security problems.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist in secure design, threat modeling, and reviewing Security-critical code
• Assist with review and remediation of security findings including replication of penetration test findings
• Contribute to automated Security review capabilities including static/dynamic/interact code analysis (SAST/DAST/IAST) across multiple technology stacks and languages.

Required Skills:
• Comfortable with software development, preferably in Python
• High level of personal integrity with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters, and reflect an appropriate level of judgement as it pertains to Security
• Common body of knowledge: some upper-level course work on information security, some knowledge and academic/work experience on logical Security domains.
• Considerable writing proficiency and visual design skills, oral presentation skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations
• Knowledge of AWS and similar Cloud technologies
• Containers technologies, like Kubernetes, Docker, etc
