Job Summary/Description:

Gray Television is looking for college students who want to work in their career field for a summer before graduation. The Gray Television Immersion Project accepts the nation's top student journalists and embeds them in local television stations nationwide. Students who are accepted in the Immersion Project will be paid to work in their career field. They will get hands on training from our stations and our team of executive trainers. Immersion meteorologists will be coached in forecasting & on-air presentation. In addition to a $15/hour wage, Immersion students will have access to Gray Television's News Training Portal as well as live training from our team of executive trainers. This is NOT a job shadow position. Student meteorologists accepted to the Summer Immersion project will forecast, appear on air for weather segments and work alongside our meteorologists at local television stations. Immersion meteorologists will finish up their summer with an on-air reel. Since Immersion students will be Gray employees, per Gray policy, they will also get first consideration for all open positions in Gray when they start their job search. We will work with students accepted into the Immersion Project to determine market placement.
