Job Description
The FX Marketing Team is one of the premiere creative marketing teams in television, having won Promax Marketing Team of the year consecutively for ten years. The team continuously strives to make marketing that supports and promotes FX's prestigious and award-winning slate of original shows – including American Horror Story, Reservation Dogs, Mayans M.C., Snowfall, Archer, Atlanta, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, What We Do in the Shadows, Dave and more – with an eye toward not only converting viewers, but also toward curating a premium brand identity and creating work that is bespoke and artful. As a group, the FX Marketing team endeavors to consistently create great work, be it funny, moving or evocative, that supports our shows and grows the FX brand in an ever-evolving television and media landscape.

Responsibilities:

The FX Content and Editorial Intern will work in the office as part of the team who creates award-winning marketing content for FX's prestigious slate of original shows. Every day our team outputs numerous pieces of creative marketing content, and the intern will learn this process from planning to execution to delivery. Some of the steps involved in creating television marketing include planning and ideating a campaign, watching shows and movies for clip selection, choosing music, video editing and sound design. Due to the number of show campaigns we have going at once, the intern will also be exposed to the complex project management that goes into handling such a volume of work. The intern will help with this project management by tracking the status of projects, filing assets and otherwise supporting the team. The intern will get an inside and advance look at how the creative marketing work at FX comes to life.
• Work with writer/producers and editors to support on creative marketing projects such as promos or presentations
• Shadow creative teams of VPs, writer/producers and editors as they work on marketing campaigns
• Contribute to the development of projects by screening shows, suggesting clips, selecting music or writing scripts
• Work with project managers on creating and maintaining project calendars and tracking creative projects and assignments
• Assist project managers with development of new content management system
• Help track assets and deliveries
• Help organize files for presentations and awards

Basic Qualifications:
• Cumulative GPA or 3.0 or higher
• An interest in project management. Familiarity with online project management software would be a plus (Monday.com, Asana, etc.) but not necessary.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; PowerPoint would be a plus
• Familiarity or an interest in video editing via Avid
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects.
• A love of scripted television

Required Education
• Junior, Senior or recent graduate

Additional Information:

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR graduated within the past 6 months
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Program Dates: The approximate dates are January 2022 – May 2022. Interns will work 24 hours per week throughout the internship and must provide full availability throughout the internship.

Location: This intern will work out of our Los Angeles, CA office.
