At DreamWorks Animation Television, our Generalist works closely with HUB Management to coordinate with Modeling, Rigging, Texturing, Hair, Lighting, FX, and Production to help ensure that all aspects of the asset creation process come together seamlessly and efficiently.
The Trainee Program is 12 weeks long and is a full-time, paid opportunity. Trainees will receive one on one mentorship with a seasoned artist to guide them along the way. The Trainee Program is covered by the Animation Guild.

Job Description
Responsibilities: ''What would you say you do here?''
• Complete assigned tasks related to asset build departments. Prepping and modifying assets to be prepared for the DreamWorks Asset Library. This could encompass work spanning all asset build departments.
• Check all asset files for consistency.
• Participate in noting and review for asset builds created by our Partner Studio(s).
• Document workflows and processes using Camtasia video and Publisher software
• Collaborate with the Supervisors across CG disciplines to help establish processes and pipeline integration
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: ''What do I need to have in order to do this job?''
• Recent graduate with an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree from a College/University (or equivalent)
• Less than two years of work experience in the animation industry
• Understanding of the CG Pipeline
• General Knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Raytracing renderer such as V-Ray
• General Knowledge of Mari, Substance, Speedtree, Zbrush, or Houdini is a plus
• Fundamental generalist skills for troubleshooting and identifying problems within files
• Ability to meet required production deadlines
• Creative problem solving and adaptability skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoys working in a team environment
• Must be willing to work onsite in Glendale, CA and provide own housing and transportation.
Desired Qualifications: ''What can I offer?''
• At least 1-2 years of professional experience working within a 3D production pipeline
• Knowledge of General Knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Raytracing renderer such as V-Ray is preferred
• Experience with asset management software, Shotgun preferred
• Experience working with international Partner Studio(s) is a plus
