About Your Role:

Dotdash Meredith's Information Security team is seeking a 3rd or 4th year student with a passion for cybersecurity. As a member of the team, you will work in a collaborative environment and will develop your skills across the security domains of application security, security operations and incident detection and response. Within these domains you will assess the security of applications, investigate and respond to security alerts, assist with security audits and identify and automate manual tasks.

The successful candidate will gain experience across a wide range of security disciplines, learn the challenges faced when implementing an enterprise wide security program and be mentored by experienced information security professionals.

About your contributions:
• You will create scripts to automate security related tasks and analyze data
• You will investigate security alerts and under supervision coordinate the response
• You will help with brand protection, copyright infringement and intellectual property theft
• You will assist development teams in identifying security requirements and areas of focus
• You will conduct phishing campaigns to improve security awareness across the organization
• You will run exciting threat hunting campaigns and assist with incident response
• You will be exposed to cloud and infrastructure security in a multi cloud environment
• You will learn and help with privacy, regulation and security framework compliance

About You:
• Experience or coursework in cybersecurity
• Experience or coursework with web technologies
• Experience or coursework with a scripting language
• Knowledge of networking, operating systems and cloud infrastructure
• A strong desire to learn, contribute and collaborate
