Brief Internship Overview:
We're seeking a Content Discovery Intern to help build new features and ensure a seamless user experience for our audience that takes full advantage of our existing frameworks and libraries while incorporating new technologies and best practices to maintain a fast, innovative, and bug-free application.
You will work closely with our incredible development team alongside other developers, designers, QA analysts, and product managers, who would be great mentors throughout the program.
Responsibilities (i.e. core activities in the role, key projects, or capstone project, etc.):
The intern's day to day tasks will include:
• Work with a high traffic (6M/day) and visibility site.
• Work on some of the most popular brands on the web
• Get an opportunity to work on an Agile team.
• Working with the Product, PMO and the development team to build new features.
• Identify and solve technical issues.
• Participate in product ceremonies and Engineering meetings.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in Typescript, node.js, Python
• Understanding of basic coding fundamentals
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
• Familiarity with cloud platforms - AWS, GCP and code deployment knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, including designers, QA, product managers, and other developers.
• Be able to work in a collaborative team environment
