About the Role & Program:

Disney Entertainment includes the company's full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including motion picture film studios, television divisions, and streaming! The Hive is the in-house Creative Advertising agency at Disney Entertainment. We specialize in creating marketing assets for all of the Disney brands, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Live Action, Disney+, Pixar, Disney Animation, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight, Disney Corporate and more.

Do you like movies, creating content, solving problems, and have an interest in seeing how the creative process works for advertising? Join our team as our music intern! If selected for this role, you will report to the Sr. Music Supervisor.

This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, CA area from May/ June 2025 – August/September 2025.

What You Will Do:

Music Supervision is the art of selecting or creating songs and recordings for use in visual media related to film, television, video games, commercials, and trailers. At the Hive, we primarily focus on music supervision for theatrical trailers, streaming trailers, and brand advertising. The goal of th e music internship is to provide an immersive learning and real-world experience through impactful projects .
• Attend weekly staff music meetings
• Help organize in house music server
• Help organize and keep music vendor contact sheet up to date
• Research master and publishing rights information
• Help Assistant Music Supervisor prepare cue sheet

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
• Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and discernment
• Open to feedback and constructive criticism
• Desire to build experience in Creative Advertising
• Loves Trailers!
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
• Previous experience working in the entertainment industry

Education:
• Undergraduate students in their senior year pursuing a bachelor's degree in music industry, music production, audio engineering, entertainment industry, or related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22 per hour.
