About the Role & ProgramThe Disney Branded Television (DBT) Acquisitions & Partnerships team is part of the Platform Distribution group for Disney Entertainment (DE). On the Acquisitions side, we work with the Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD programming teams to identify high-quality third-party content that supports our brands. On the Partnerships side, we liaise with our content partners, both internal and external, to support our acquired titles.
Do you have a strong interest in kids' TV content and affinity for the Disney Channel family of brands? We are looking for an intern to join our team and be part of this exciting work!
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025.
What You Will Do
• Own the submissions tracking log by logging and updating with content submissions and materials.
• Review potential acquisitions, screen materials, read scripts for coverage, and attend pitch meetings.
• Coordinate meeting agendas and build monthly meeting presentations on PowerPoint.
• Maintain various internal Box folders and systems.
• Assist in organizing all aspects of the global team's attendance at industry events and markets (like MIPJunior and MIPCOM in October) and coordinate the sharing/filing/tracking of follow-up materials.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• High attention to detail and experience multitasking and prioritizing project workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in content, media, entertainment business, or related industry
• Experience using Airtable and Box
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive
• Familiarity with and/or interest in kids' TV content
• Experience reviewing creative content/materials and writing script coverage
Education
• Junior or Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025
• Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.00 per hour.
