A Day in the Life…

As part of the Disney Entertainment TV DEI team, you will primarily support the Entertainment Incubator and Apprenticeship programs as part of our People strategy. In partnership with the Program Manager, you will help with program logistics, communication with the program participants and program leaders and build ways to improve the program for all stakeholders. In addition, you will also be involved in other People and Culture strategy work, including involvement in employee resource groups and community-based projects.

Some responsibilities in this role include:
• Assisting with program deliverables and logistics, including help build PowerPoint presentations and communication documents for the DET DEI Team
• Supporting Program Manager in handling program participant communications, event planning, learning programming, and day to day logistics.
• Sitting in on candidate interviews, reviewing video interviews/essays, and providing constructive feedback
• Partnering with senior executives, candidates, HR Business Partners, and administrative staff to schedule interviews
• Taking notes during meetings and other logistics as specified by Program Manager
• Supporting the team with Business Employee Resource Group (BERG) Activations

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Keynote
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; active listening skills

• High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion when given access to sensitive information
• Passion for television/media/storytelling

(Preferred Qualifications)
• Involvement in on-campus clubs and/or affinity groups
• Previous experience using Canva

Preferred Education:
• Senior-level standing or a recent graduate (within 6 months)
• Students pursuing a degree in Human Resources or HR-equivalent degree, Psychology or Social Sciences degree, Anthropology or related degree, or Diversity & Inclusion program certifications or degree

Additional Details:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age​
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Program length -- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through June 2024
• Work details -- Must be able to work full time hours (approximately 40 per week) Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm PT for the duration of the internship
• Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
• Housing -- Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, CA area
• Transportation -- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
