The Research, Insights, and Analytics organization is seeking an Intern to join its Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team. If you're eager to learn and love being at the forefront of consumer behavior, then this is a great role for you.

This role works most closely with the Disney Platform Distribution division, a business unit that manages all third-party media sales efforts for distribution, affiliate marketing and affiliate-related business operations for all of the Company's direct-to-consumer services and linear media networks; content sales agreements for General Entertainment, Studios and Sports.

A Day in the Life…

The Distribution, Marketplace & Portfolio Insights Intern will be responsible for assisting the larger team in the development and execution of projects for various clients, specifically Platform Distribution. Through assisting with these projects, the intern will learn how to use a variety of research tools, including Nielsen systems, and learn about the day to day tasks and challenges of working in television research. The intern will also assist with pulling, cleaning, and organizing data – both qualitative and quantitative.

• Assisting with the development and execution or larger team projects
• Learning how to use a variety of important research tools, including Nielsen systems
• Stay up to date on the latest trends in the media industry and media research
• Take advantage of the many opportunities afforded to interns by the Disney Internship Program

What we are looking for…

(Basic Qualifications)
• Strong quantitative skills, including interest in media math concepts and data analysis
• Passionate about media and entertainment
• Proficiency in Windows-based PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent writing and communication skills

(Preferred Qualifications)
• Photoshop or digital image editing experience
• Experience with software such as SPSS, Tablaeu and Domo

Required Education:
• To be eligible for this internship you must be a junior, senior or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field

Additional Details:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age​ and possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. ​
• Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
• Must be able to work on-site in New York City and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
• Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 - June 2024. Candidate must be available to work 20-24 hours/week between Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm EST.
