About the Role & Program
Join us for the opportunity to join the Searchlight Publicity team! You will be an integral part of the Searchlight team throughout a film's promotions and release providing on the ground support at a multitude of events including special screenings, premieres, junkets and festivals as needed. We are a small team, so you will especially be helpful in handling special projects and administrative duties (organizing PR files, and meeting prep). The hands-on role will offer exposure to the film industry and awards campaign from a unique perspective in the New York office. We want to provide you with an enriching experience that gains an understanding of the role of publicity in a film campaign, as well as help you develop excellent administrative skills and a background in event coordination. This internship opportunity requires full-time availability in New York for the duration of the program. The approximate dates of this internship are August 2025 through December 2025. This internship reports directly to the Director of Publicity.
What You Will Do

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Collecting and distributing daily press breaks across all media (newspaper/magazine/digital)
• Managing department charts and documents
• Assisting publicists with research projects and providing support to the brand partnerships department
• Setting up zoom meetings and facilitating recordings, delivery of publicity materials, organizing PR files
• Prepping materials and participating in weekly meetings
• Working at screenings, premieres, junkets and press days

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace (Docs/Slides/Sheets), Photoshop
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Can work independently and be proactive
• Desire to gain PR experience to further their career
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge and interest in Searchlight Pictures is a plus
• Prior internship experience in film, publicity, marketing, or other related fields preferred

Education
• Senior year preferred
• Major or previous coursework in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are August 2025 through December 2025
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm EST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York, NY area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22 per hour.
