About the Role & Program

Disney Entertainment Television (DET) is a collection of renowned content brands at The Walt Disney Company creating original entertainment and news programming for the company's streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu and Star, and its broadcast and cable networks! What will you do

As an intern on the Labor Relations team you will assist in providing day-to-day support for DET specific collective bargaining agreements through research, preparations for negotiations, and assisting in resolving of labor-management issues and grievances. This position will report to Senior Counsel - Labor Relations for the team. Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
• Review and present data including financial data for collective bargaining negotiations with entertainment industry labor unions
• Research and write analysis of applicable labor law
• Analyze and update collective bargaining agreements
• Assist drafting responses to grievances, information requests and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research to share with internal and external audiences
• Support projects and initiatives

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Ability to quickly understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions
• Experience handling confidential information
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Work well under pressure and manage fluctuating priorities
• High functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Passion for working within the television/entertainment industry and in labor relations
• Completed coursework in labor or employment law

Education

Pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and currently enrolled at an accredited law school, 2L or 3L with entertainment/ labor relation related coursework

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
• Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through December 2024
• Able to work 20 -24 hrs per week
• Must provide own transportation/housing for the duration internship program in the NYC, New York area

Salary Details
Salary: $41.40 Per Hour ($ USD)
