The CNN Story

The CNN en Español business unit is responsible for several multi-media platforms geared towards Spanish-speaking audiences around the world, reaching 62 million households. These platforms include CNN en Español, a 24-hour cable news network for Latin America, Mexico and the US, as well as CNNEspanol.com and CNN en Español Radio, and CNN en Español on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The Daily

The tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Research and pitch story ideas
• Work with AP/Producers on rundown
• Develop content for digital
• Develop their editing skill
• Participate in audience research
• Book, research and greet show guests and contribute to future meetings

The Essentials
**The successful candidate is bilingual in Spanish & English**
• Excellent command of spoken and written Spanish
• Basic knowledge of control room operations
• Latam/ US politics and current affairs
• Basic knowledge of our audience
• Knowledge of social media tools
• Basic knowledge of Rundowns
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Audition and Premiere)

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6- August 12; must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
