Intern - Connect The World

Job Description

We are looking for an intern to work with CNN anchor Eleni Giokos and her team in Dubai. You will need to be able to jump in and support Eleni as she anchors key CNN news shows; this could be anything from writing guest research notes to assisting with printing scripts.

Main Responsibilities:

The position will include helping arrange guests and contributors and chasing news lines. Eleni is also the face of one of CNN's key business shows, Marketplace Middle East, which requires extra support in setting up filming for that series across the region. Also, the perspective intern may help with Connecting Africa, a monthly show about the continent in which Eleni also anchors.

Selection Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in similar field
• Passion for the news and a strong interest in storytelling on television
• Excellent research skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable
• Must be computer literate and well-versed in the areas of social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• A particular interest in the Middle East is absolutely key to the role
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic
