The Job

CNN Audio's Product team is seeking a curious, enthusiastic intern who loves podcasts and finding new ways to reach audiences. We are a nimble, inclusive team focused on crafting and deploying key components for our growing portfolio of podcasts, all to create memorable moments for our diverse community of listeners. These components include, but are not limited to, social media materials, audio and visual promotional assets, native marketing tools and more. The CNN Audio team has a strong culture of experimentation, learning and sharing what we discover along the way. We hope you do, too. This intern will be critical to the success of some of CNN's most listened-to shows and should have a keen interest in finding the right ways to engage our listeners.

The Daily
• Assists product managers in developing and deploying audience-facing assets for new podcast episodes or launches
• Shepherds delivery of podcast components, such as titles, descriptions, artwork and more
• Works with partners across CNN Audio, including editorial, partnerships and operations
• Tracks and synthesizes audience data to form hypotheses and case studies around marketing tactics
• Actively seeks new and exciting listener-focused opportunities to expand CNN Audio's footprint in a growing podcast marketplace

The Essentials
• At least a junior in college. Seniors and graduate students preferred. Preferred majors include marketing, communications, digital media or related
• Strong interest and/or working knowledge of podcasting, as well as the CNN and CNN Audio brands
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Expertise in using social media for storytelling purposes
• Passion for learning and sharing are a must
• Marketing experience is a plus, as are Photoshop skills

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
