Current Programming Intern - Spring 2021 (Remote)

DESCRIPTION:

The CBS Current Programming team is looking for a student to join their team for the spring semester. This remote internship requires 2 full days/week of availability. Students may be in any location, but must be available to work from 9am-5:30pm pacific standard time.

Job Responsibilities:
• Read story areas/outlines/drafts and help write summaries for weekly reports
• Observe the notes-giving process and give thoughts on material as requested
• Help manage department staffing grid and database, adding writer information and reading samples
• Distribute various documents and media internally
• Support assistants with show coverage as needed, including taking notes during calls, setting meetings, tracking material

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the internship
• Must be available 2 full days per week from 9am-5:30pm PST
• Must have a computer with internet access
• Must be reliable and comfortable working independently
• Previous internship experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Eager to learn about current programming at a television network
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to keep organized in a fast-paced environment
