CBSNews.com Internship - Growth & Engagement/YouTube (Summer 2023, Hybrid, NYC)

Important notes:
• This role is based in New York City. The team's summer format will be hybrid.
• We do not cover the cost of housing or transportation.
• Internships are paid at a standard competitive hourly rate, so proper work authorization is needed to be employed within the United States. The pay rate for this role is $20/hr.
• The program starts in June and runs for 10 weeks.
• Interns must be available to work full time (5 days) per week (no weekends). Normal business hours.
• You must be a rising junior, senior or master's student to be eligible (December 2023-May 2025 grads).
• College credit is optional, not required. We will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.

Responsibilities:
• Pitch and write language for app, web, breaking news emails, Apple News and OTT alerts to segments of the audience based on user behavior and location.
• Track performance of our notifications and contribute to weekly takeaways to help the team with content strategy decisions.
• Help with YouTube responsibilities, which include pitching ideas for community posts, stories, shorts and monitoring live streams for events.
• Analyze performance for YouTube live streams, shorts, community posts and stories and provide feedback to the team.
• Pitch content to distribution partners.

Qualifications:
• Journalism background with a special interest in digital journalism.
• Experience with YouTube.
• Experience with content partnerships is a plus.

Hiring Salary Range: $1.0 - 1.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
