Amazon Studios is seeking bright, dynamic, and self-motivated interns to work hard, have fun and make history with us this summer. Amazon Studios Internship Program offers interns hands-on experience working with the studio behind award-winning and ground-breaking programming like Rings of Power, Reacher, Daisy Jones and The Six, Jack Ryan, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

We are looking for a Production Intern to support the US Scripted Series Production Team. This person will help drive efficiencies and scalability by supporting department coordinators with various internal projects. This is an open-ended position, where you will not only be given assignments, but have the opportunity to identify and resolve gaps independently. At the end of your term, you will present your work to our senior leader, the Head of US Scripted Production.

In addition to working closely with the Series Team, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events, and screenings.
Our summer internship class will take place from June through August 2022. Internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required, however we will provide documentation if necessary. Key job responsibilities
This position will be heavily focused on operational organization and administrative process. Additional areas of focus and exposure will include: development process, project start-up, on-boarding into Amazon Studio's systems, budgeting process, best practices, project oversight, and other protocol/workflows which are key to producing scripted content for Amazon Studios.

A day in the life
• Day-to-day tasks will include: supporting the department coordinators with scheduling, data entry, and other ad hoc tasks as needed.
• Joining various meetings with the opportunity to gain insight into the Scripted Production process.
• Other points of focus will be: lifecycle of a show, improving our crew entry process, and gaining insight and exposure to day-to-day problem solving and collaboration within the Scripted team.
• Those who may benefit most are self-starters who seek out opportunities to learn, and are proactive in identifying and taking on projects.

About the team
The US Scripted Production team is responsible for Prime Video's premium shows, known for a high level of production value. We work with some of the most high-profile talent in TV (Nicole Kidman, Donald Glover, Amy Sherman-Palladino). At a time where our competitors are slashing jobs, Amazon remains committed to a robust production schedule for 2023 and 2024.

The team is a highly motivated, proud, and close unit with varying levels of experience who work independently but who also freely and openly consult and team with other executives. The team is diverse, progressive, and are excellent communicators.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be active students during the time of their internship. A student is characterized by: any candidate currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, including Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, Associate, certificates, and diplomas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with scripted production is preferred, but not required. Some examples of relevant experience would be working as a PA, student films, leading a student project or managing a campus student group etc…
• A tech savvy intern with a background in visual apps, spreadsheets, who is passionate about organization and process is also preferred.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $16.83/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $40.43/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
