Transmission Scheduling Manager

Recently, we strategically acquired 23 Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) and we are looking for team members to join us in integrating this new and important piece of our business that will expand our range of content across the country and extend our multi-platform expansion opportunities. We are looking for a strong leader to oversee and advise the Transmission Scheduling department for Sinclair's regional sports networks (RSNs). In this role, you will be expected to lead key initiatives and direct the 3rd party-led team in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You will be the liaison between the 3rd party-led team and Sinclair leadership.

Responsibilities:
Operations, Collaboration & Partnerships
• Coordinate between RSNs and 3rd parties to ensure accurate scheduling
• Oversee the RSN Transmission Scheduling department, with functions including:
• Managing Transmission Schedulers in the creation and updating of orders
• Ensuring the accuracy of Transmission Information Sheets
• Executing the evaluation of programming and creation of monthly schedules, tracking licensing restrictions (run counts) etc.
• Managing distribution of all programming changes
• Entering programming metadata into programming software
• Coordinating with external departments/3rd parties to secure and ingest programming, promo, and interstitial material; creating promo as-run reports
• Distributing approved program schedules
• Coordinate with 3rd parties to ensure process flow transitions from Sinclair to 3rd parties as needed

Performance Improvement
• Advise 3rd parties and report on 3rd party SLA metrics to Sinclair management
• Evaluate, review and assess the success of initiatives, allocation of employees, and resources
• Review performance data that includes financial and activity reports and spreadsheets to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant industry work experience
• 6+ years management experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Transmission Scheduling Department
• Experience with scheduling software, Private Line Network software, Transmission Information Sheets preferred
• Experience managing 3rd party service provider relationships preferred
• Experience with live sports integration required
