Position Summary

Software Test Lead (Manual & Automation)

Discovery Digital are excited to be recruiting the new opportunity of Software Test Lead to oversee the Quality Assurance of Dplay, a leading Video on Demand product in Europe and with plans for rapid International expansion.

Based in London, the successful individual will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day direction Automation and Manual QA of all our front end clients (React.js, iOS, Android, Connected Devices), ensuring that Product & Development teams are best placed and supported to meet quality specifications and goals set out by the business and expected by our customer.

The Software Test Lead involves planning, organising, resourcing and managing a distributed team of testers, in collaboration with and reporting to the Technical Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the relevant key stakeholders informed of all areas of the product testing progress. (Product, Platform, Front End apps and Web)

What are we looking for?
• Experience as a Test Lead

• Experience creating automation scripts or tools

• Exposure to D2C/B2C product development desirable

• Strong Quality Assurance and Testing industry knowledge

• Demonstrated experience working with Agile, specifically Kanban methodologies

• Experience within AWS

• Experience in a rapid release environment

• Strong Understanding of Gitflow

• Responsible for the QA/Testing phase within SDLC to ensure all new product developments and upgrades meet quality standards

• Ensure adequate test coverage is undertaken including system testing, end user testing and automation

• Collaborate with the technical team to write test plans and test cases

• Execute tests, raise defects/issues, log and track faults

• Oversee all test strategies, progress reports and test summary reports.

• Lead a team of very talented QA & Automation professionals
