Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX 5 TV in Washington DC is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and creative Engineering Operations Manager to supervise the staff and technical operations within the news production studios, control room, and master control. Candidates must have experience with news production and/or master control operations. Must have an in-depth knowledge of broadcast technical operations and equipment. Ability to understand and implement written and verbal procedures and directives. Must be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced highly charged broadcast engineering, news, and production environment. We are looking for a self-starter and problem solver. Must be able to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. The position requires daily collaboration with production teams and department managers. Experience in a union environment is strongly preferred. Position will involve interaction with labor unions. Bachelor's degree or equivalent broadcast experience required. Minimum 5 years engineering experience working in a TV broadcast news environment. Minimum 3 years experience working in a TV broadcast or related media supervisory or management position. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid driver's license and be able to drive. Requires flexibility with work schedule including various start and end times and occasional after hours and weekend on-call responsibilities.
