Simon & Schuster is seeking a Brand Manager to focus on developing, managing, and growing our brands to increase awareness, presence, and sales in the marketplace.
The Brand Manager will work with the Publisher and in tandem with the sales, marketing, and inventory groups in the children's division to monitor and report sales, sales trends, and retail activity across licenses and brands by preparing monthly and quarterly reports and regular business reviews that thoroughly analyze the state of the brand. Using these reports, the Brand Manager will work both in house and out of house to help coordinate retail efforts with licensors and keep the S&S sales and marketing team apprised of the findings.
The Brand Manager will also work with the publisher to conduct ongoing competitive analysis for brands, using that information to help the publishing team evaluate brands for acquisition.
In addition the Brand Manager will track the terms of our agreements with licensors, working with our contracts and inventory teams to manage parameters of the agreements.
The Brand Manager should have at least 5-7 years of experience in brand management, licensing, and working with consumer products categories. The candidate should have a firm understanding of licensing to children as well as an understanding of various retail markets and needs.
Requirements: Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, forecasting and reporting as well as strong communication and presentation skills
