Job Description

KTXS is seeking a television segment seller/producer & host of our Lifestyle show Daytime with Kimberly and Esteban. The position is based in Abilene, Texas and you will produce segments for this ground-breaking program that originates from San Antonio. Your weekly stories will air in other Texas markets and you will follow the sales process from beginning to end and host client segments that air each day. Occasionally, you will have live reports to the ''Daytime'' network of markets. The right person is strategic and can manage multiple projects, and is energetic, positive with a can-do attitude. The desire and commitment to succeed is a must. You must be a team player with excellent presentation skills. In this role, you will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television.

• Must be comfortable reporting on-air
• Be proficient in interacting with station advertisers
• Have a creative mindset
• Be a compelling and accurate writer and storyteller
• Must be detail-oriented
• Be able to coordinate shoots with teams in various locations

Required Experience:
• Must have at least one (1) year of previous experience at a commercial TV station
• On-air and show production experience is required
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
• Must have and maintain a valid license and must have a good driving record
