Manager, Media Strategy and Planning

Job Description

Entercom is seeking experienced media professional for key role in a growing department, as part of a leading US media company. We are looking for an, energetic, passionate self-starter to join the Media Planning and Strategy team. Working cross functionally across multiple departments, this candidate will develop, execute, optimize and measure multi-media campaigns across streaming audio, podcasts, social, radio, email and display advertising. They will also provide direction for a team of campaign managers to ensure campaigns are implemented effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop best-in-class media campaigns that leverage all of Entercom's touchpoints, including streaming audio, podcasts, radio, social, email and display advertising
• Provide internal leadership in strategic thinking and best practices
• Collaborate with internal partners on pitch development and strategy
• Achieve a thorough understanding of all internal systems to respond to client requests
• Participate in internal brainstorming sessions
• Help oversee a team of Campaign Managers whose role is to provide strategic planning support across all media channels from pre-sale to post-sale
• Analyze competitive activity in the marketplace

Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree
• 2+ years of media experience at a publisher and/or ad agency
• Strong digital experience preferred
• Audio experience a bonus
• Experience responding to and analyzing media RFPs from advertising agencies and/or media clients
• Comfort operating under aggressive deadlines and effectively managing last minute requests
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with good knowledge of media math and media strategy
• Proven experience managing the campaign process from plan creation to campaign optimization
• Familiarity with the role that data and analytics play in the media planning function
• Willingness to learn
• Experience with DFP, Triton, Strata and Wide Orbit preferred
• Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
