Job Description

Responsibilities
• Create and lead the implementation of services architecture
• Create and lead the implementation of the cloud strategy and architecture
• Create and lead the implementation of durable and resilient architecture
• Work closely with the team to create an alignment to coding standards
• Work closely with the team to oversee the implementation of observability and monitoring strategies
• Work closely with the team to oversee the implementation of performance tests
• Create a mechanism to proactively address Tech Debt in the system
• Communicate to the leadership about the architectural plans and engineering strategies
• Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts
• Communicate effectively the risks and rewards of various technical changes to the leadership

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in engineering software applications
• Minimum eight (8) years of hands on experience in application development in a polyglot environment using Javascript, NodeJS, Python
• Experience managing people
• Minimum six (6) years of hands on experience in provisioning cloud resources
• Expert understanding of languages such as Kotlin and Java
• Expert understanding of tools such as Github, Jenkins
• Expert understanding of tools such as Gatling for building performance tests
• Expert understanding of cloud providers such as AWS and GCP
• Expert understanding of building highly scalable and resilient MicroServices
• Expert understanding of building deployment pipelines to enable a CD (Continuous Delivery) process
• Expert understanding of Agile/XP methodologies as applied to product engineering
• Expert understanding of building highly scalable data solutions for data replications between various MicroServices
• Expert understanding of designing solutions using domain driven design techniques
• Expert understanding of test automation for various parts of the system including infrastructure
• Expert understanding of provisioning cloud resources through code

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be able to work nights, overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
