Netflix, the world's leading streaming entertainment service, seeks an experienced Director, Content Litigation to join the legal team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for handling Content Litigation matters directly, both directly and indirectly, as well as pre-litigation counseling on a wide variety of content-related topics and other litigation and counseling matters as they arise. This role sits within the Litigation & Regulatory Risk group and involves close and ongoing collaboration with members of the Business & Legal Affairs team and the Company's various Content verticals. Strong risk tolerance, an experienced perspective on litigation and litigation risk, and an ability to understand and manage multiple internal resources dealing with cutting-edge legal issues are critical in this role. This role is headquartered in Los Angeles and reports to Director, Content Litigation.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have at least fifteen (15) years of litigation experience, with direct experience with entertainment litigation issues. Candidates must be familiar with the development, production, and multi-platform distribution of feature length films, documentaries, unscripted series, scripted series, animation and stand-up comedy programming, and have knowledge of and interest in related litigation issues. This is a cross-functional role, so strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary.

• J.D. and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.

Previous in-house experience preferred; multiple languages and/or experience with international litigation ideal.
